Location
Right in the heart of beautiful Falmouth, close to the harbour, Maritime Museum, restaurants, shops, bars and attractions and still only a short walk to the beach.
During the day, explore the fantastic coast path, visit Pendennis Castle on the headland, try the award-winning National Maritime Museum or one of the many award winning gardens close by.
There are several beaches close by, Gyllingvase beach, a short walk away is great for a sea swim, or try stand up paddle boarding, it also has a great cafe; Maenporth is best for sandcastles and Swanpool has a watersports centre if you fancy kayaking, coasteering or raft building. You can also book a fishing trip and cook up your catch on a beach barbie.
Leave the M5 at Exeter and take the A30 west. Follow signs for A3076 to Truro. From Truro take the A39 to Falmouth. Once in Falmouth follow signs to the National Maritime Museum Cornwall (NMMC) or the Grove Place car park which are both opposite.
Change at Truro main line station and change to the Falmouth branch line. There are three stations in Falmouth and the one that is closest to the Townhouse is Falmouth Town. Head downhill from the station down Avenue Rd and turn left at the roundabout onto Grove Place. The Townhouse is on the left.
